Modern Pharma-medicine looks at the human condition as a set of symptoms and treats it as such.  There is no study of causality, of what the deeper underlying issues are that are creating a set of symptoms.  There is no regard for the WHOLE human, nor any consideration of symptoms that lay outside of the Physical Body.  Because of this, the ROOT is never healed or treated, thus physical symptoms move on to the next stage/phase, or are buried under medication that hides their existence.

We are not just a “body”.  We are not just a jumble of unrelated physical symptoms without a cause.

We are a WHOLE human being, and our existence is multifaceted and balanced between the physical, mental, emotional, “spiritual” and energetic/etheric.  When any one of these facets is out of harmony, we can see the manifestation of that imbalance in our physical body.  The “symptoms” are the indicator of the deeper issues, and it’s only through dealing with these deeper issues, that we can heal the symptoms.

In last nights Quintessentially Whole Show we delved into the topic of Well Being and working WITH many of the “symptoms” that we may see and feel when we are “sick”.  Ann gives an excellent review of “Acute” and “Chronic” sickness/symptoms, and a great explanation of what these “illness symptoms” are, and how they are working WITH  the body.

We’re coming into the usual “Cold & Flu” season, which means sniffles, coughs, fevers, etc. and in this episode we looked at the main stream pharma medicinal “treatments” that are hell bent on stopping these “symptoms”.  Why do we get a fever?  What does it do? Once we comprehend this concept, then we can see that stopping most fevers, with pills and syrups, doesn’t help us and actually hinders our bodies from dealing with the CAUSE of the fever!

Main stream medicine has it’s place and has a role to play in our lives and health, but it’s important to know how to support and nurse and heal the ourselves and our families, and to comprehend when pharma medicines are actually harming our Well Being, and hindering our immune system from doing what it does best- Healing the WHOLE Self.

  • – Baking soda (soda bicarb) (aluminium free)

  • – Apple Cider Vinegar (organic or unprocessed)
  • – Fresh or Dried Lavender, Chamomile, Peppermint and Oregano

-Spices: Turmeric, Ginger, Cayenne pepper, cinnamon, cloves.

  • – Raw, Unprocessed/unpasteurized Local Honey
  • – Cabbage- organic

 

Homeopathic Basics List:

Arnica, Arconite, Calendula, Hypericum, and Bachs Rescue Remedy

Essential Oil Basics List:

Lavender, peppermint, thyme, oregano, chamomile, 

 

 

dani’s cough syrup

1 med organic onion- coarsely chopped-
5-6 med organic cloves garlic- coarsely chopped
1inch piece of fresh ginger- grated
20 fresh oregano leaves- crushed
1/2 cup raw honey

Put all ingredients into a bain marie, or in a glass bowl, that is then put into a pot of water.

Bring water to a simmer, gently warming honey mixture. Simmer without boiling for 45 minutes. Removed bowl and strain honey mixture immediately, using a fine mesh strainer (not plastic!). Place honey into a sterile jar and cool to room temperature- then refridgerate.

Take a teaspoon to tablespoon of the honey 3-4 times a day. You can even dissolve it in hot (NOT BOILING) water with a bit of lemon as a soothing drink.

ALSO…

Mix 1/4 cup of honey mixture, with 1/4 cup of black seed oil.
– shake gently to mix- and take one table spoon every morning and night for strengthening the immune system. Can take this in a small glass of orange juice.
